eWhale is celebrating after becoming a finalist in the Start-up Business of the Year in the Gulf Capital SME Awards 2019. 

Over 300 entrepreneurs and SME business leaders registered for the 7th edition of the awards resulting in 86 companies making the final short list across 16 categories and the eWhale business model was one of them.

Each of these 86 companies will now proceed to the final stage of judging which comprises a presentation to an independent panel of more than 30 judges representing some of the most successful global and regional businesses, Government stakeholders and influencers. 

The awards are also supported by an ecosystem of partners who are committed to developing opportunities for SMEs in the UAE including Beehive, Diligencia, In5, Italian Industry & Commerce in the UAE, Khalifa Fund, Micropolis and Tie Dubai. 

Furthermore, the awards are independently audited by global advisory firm Grant Thornton to ensure the highest degrees of credibility for any awards program in the region. 

The awards are organised by MEED, in collaboration with founding partner Gulf Capital since its inception in 2012, to recognise the UAE’s SMEs, business leaders and entrepreneurs for innovation, growth and success. 

It is a great honour to have been given this recognition by MEED, the region’s most trusted business intelligence providers. It was team work and the never-ending belief in our hard work and honest objective that helped us get this recognition. Our vision is to improve the ecosystem of ecommerce by helping local and international suppliers, ecommerce websites and logistics companies to do their jobs better, faster and economically. This nomination will help us spread our vision to more people. 

This award is designed to identify the UAE-based Start-up Business that can show evidence of how the business has put in place the foundations and strong plan for future growth. The Winner will have demonstrated how it has created and is delivering its company vision and mission. Examples of how the business concept, services and products have been developed must be demonstrated and how the business has communicated with its customer base.
